Moonless Night is the 6th song of our “Short Stories” album which will be released on April 24th, 2020.

Mixing Instrumental Rock with Jazz harmonies this album brings in each song a short story with the intent of evoking a single mood. The narrative starts early in the morning at Wild West and travels throughout the day, getting darker with each story.

Meaning that it is the same file that our mastering engineer was hearing in his studio, nothing more, nothing less.

For the audiophiles you will get a 24 bits/96 kHz file. Even though our recording was 24 bits/44.1 kHz, Bob up sampled it during his master session in order to get the most out of his DACs and ADCs.

Message from Bob Katz:

"Even though you will not see content above 22.05 kHz if you use an FFT analyzer, the sound quality will be much better because:

a) you are listening to the 96 kHz original master and not a down sampled later generation and b) Your converter will perform better, with fewer artifacts at 96 kHz. Its internal filtering does not work as hard and inserts fewer stages between you and the listener. Less distortion and more transparency.

In fact, that is the major reason why 96 kHz recordings sound better than 44.1 kHz, not because we hear supersonic sound, but because the filters in our converters work better."
